Gazprom may retroactively pay to German firm in 2015

MINSK, Mar 20 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom does not rule out retroactive payments to one of its German clients in 2015, Deputy CEO Andrei Kruglov told reporters Friday without naming the volume of payments or a company.

“Retroactive payments under one of our German contracts may possibly be done this year,” Kruglov said.

German companies Wingas, E.On and RWE purchase gas from Gazprom. Previously, Gazprom had to return U.S. $1.5 billion of advance payments to RWE following an arbitration court decision to adjust the gas pricing formula. Last revision of the two companies’ gas supply contract happened in February 2014.

In March, RWE said it planned to start talks with Gazprom in the middle of 2015 in order to revise conditions of gas supplies againt.
